County Style Vanilla
4 eggs
2 1/2 cups sugar
2 Tablesspoons vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 quart half ‘n half (or 2 pints cream)
Approxiamately 5 cups milk
In a large mixing bowl beat eggs until foamy. Slowly add sugar, beat until thickened. Add cream, vanilla, and salt and mix well. Pour into freezer can. Add milk to the fill line and stir well. *You can add anything you want to this to make your own flavor-my family likes crushed Whoppers. My creative sister and cousin crushed a package of Oreos into the ice cream and it was delicious. Just use your imagination!
Strawberry Ice Cream Dream
(thanks Grandma Brown!)
2 packages 3 oz. Jell-O (or one large)
2 cups boiling water
1 3/4 cups sugar
13 oz. can Evaporated Milk
3 eggs
1 quart Half &Half
Approxiamately 2 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 quart mashed strawberries
Dissolve Jell-O in water then cool 15 to 20 mintues in refridgerator. Beat the eggs well in a large bowl. Add sugar and beat until thick. Add half & half, vanilla, and Jell-O. Mix well, add berries. Pour into freezer can and fill with milk to the fill line. Freeze, let ripen (sit, covered with towel) for 1 1/2 hours before serving.
Rocky Road Ice Cream
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1 package instant pudding
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
Beat eggs, add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Add 1 quart half & half, mix. Pour into freezer can and add nuts, marshmallows, chocolate chunks, and whatever else you’d like. Pour milk to the fill line and freeze.
