Kroger: Paid $0.45, Saved $107.41 or 102%!!!

Total Paid 45 Cents
Total Saved $107.41

Wow-what a FUN trip! I was able to stock up on: canned milk, soup, and pasta and pay nothing for it all. I am so grateful for Kroger, coupons, and Mega Events!

**If you had a GREAT Shopping Trip share it with us at The Savers Bungalow! **

I went to Kroger to look for the $1/1 Garden Delight tearpad found a few (there was only about 10 left) and decided to make a great trip out of it. I normally don’t decided to shop last minute without a plan but I couldn’t help myself knowing I was going to get a steal of a deal!

I wasn’t expecting the $1.50 e-coupon to come off so I added two Kit Kat bars $1.00 so I could use my $5/$50 coupon. I had overage from the Campbell’s soup, pasta, and Propel so I didn’t know to the cent how much I would pay.

When the cashier finished scanning all of the coupons my total was only $0.45! I got home and looked in detail at the receipt, my cashier (she was new to Kroger) had taken my raincheck and knocked off $2.00 instead of charging me $2.00. So my total should have been $2.45, but hey I’m not complaining!

Here’s what I did and you can do it too with the right coupons!

33 cans Campbell’s Cream of Chick and Mushroom*  $32.67 ($1.83 overage)
Used $1.50/3 Campbells E-coupon (didn’t know this was going to come off)
Used eleven $1.50/3 Cooking soups printable and here

20 cans Carnation Canned Milk* $23.80 ($3.80)
Used ten $0.50/2 Nestle Carnation Evaporated Milk or here

12 boxes Ronzoni Pasta* $15.48 ($2.52 overage)
Used ten $1/1 Garden Delight coupons from tearpad

Used two $1/1 Healthy Harvest printable (facebook)

2 Propel Water* $1.98 ($0.01 overage)
Used B1G1 Propel Fitness Water (Received $0.99 off)

2 Colgate Toothbrushes* $3.00 (FREE)
Used $1/1 Colgate Adult or Kids Manual Toothbrush

1 Danimals Yogurt* $1.99 ($0.49)
Used $0.50/1 Dannon Danimals Yogurt 10/10/2010 SS
2 Crest Kids Toothpaste (-$2.00)-mistake made by cashier
Used $1/1 and $0.50/1 Crest toothpaste coupons from recent insert

Ground Beef $3.62 manager’s special
Aspargaus $1.79
2 Kit Kat Bars $1.00 (didn’t have enough when I got to the register had to throw these in)

Received $35.00 off from *Mega Event Items
Use $5/$50 coupon from Entertainment Book

Total Paid $0.45
Kroger Savings $62.32
Coupon Savings $45.49
Total Savings $107.81 or 102 %
Total Items bought 74

Jenny,

I use canned milk to bake with, to make sauces (I make my own Fettucini and Pasta Primavera sauce), and to make Oatmeal in the mornings. Plus it's a great food storage item!

the kroger at goodman rd/getwell rd in southaven(at snowden grove) recently told me that they will not double coupons that say "do not double" at the top. they always have before. very discouraging. the one in hernando, Ms also says the same thing. have you or anyone else had problems with this?

I shop at the Olive Branch Kroger.

I had a Schnucks tell me that they wouldn't double the "no double" coupons either. This is NOT their policy-it clearly states that they double coupons. Keep in mind that the double coupon is a Kroger store coupon and has nothing to do with the manufacturer. When this happened to me at Schnucks I explained this and she went and got "The Manager" who said it was fine to allow them. Stand your ground and do what you can-I would also call corporate and tell them what's happening.

Wendi-
You are Welcome. The Nestle milk coupon link has now been fixed! The link is takes you to the Nestle Family site. So you'll need to sign up in order to print, if you're already signed up check your inbox. There should be a link to print coupons from Nestle Family.

I think i may try Olive Branch tomorrow, the two i usually shop at never take my cell fire coupons off and i never get the overage. seems like it rounds it off to the price of the item. Thanks!

Awesome trip! My husband loves Carnation in his coffee, so he'd be in heaven to see this! Alas, no Kroger here, so we'll make do! :)
