There’s nothing better than delicious homemade rolls! These rolls are delicious and even better they freeze extremely well. I was so excited to find this recipe, thanks to Money Saving Mom, and use it at least once a month.
In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in water then add 4 cups flour, milk, butter, sugar, eggs, and salt. Beat 2 minutes or until smooth. Add enough of the remaining flour to form a soft dough. Kead in mixer until sides are clean plus 2 mintues or on the counter for about four minutes.
Place in a greased bowl, cover, and rise in a warm place until doubled-at least 1 hour. Punch down dough and divide into four equal parts. Roll each part into a 12-inch circle and brush with melted butter. Cut each circle into pie-shaped wedges, about 8 to 10 pieces.
Roll up each wedge from wide edge to tip of dough and pinch to seal. Place rolls on parchment paper on baking sheets and freeze. When frozen, place in freezer bags and pull out at needed.
Bake at 375 8 to 10 minutes fresh or about 15 to 20 mintues frozen. If you know ahead that you are going to have rolls it’s best to them them thaw and raise for an hour or so. Enjoy!
