For the Chex Mix coupons I used two coupons from Coupons.com, Betty Crocker, and one from Smartsource. They all look different so I decided to give it a try despite the new coupon policy. I didn’t have any trouble completing two transactions and my young male cashier didn’t bat an eye.

Paid $3.56 in Taxes
Saved $87.85

I tried something new this week, I bought 20 got2b coupons on ebay! I’ve never done this before, but when I learned the got2b products were FREE after the coupons I knew it was time to try it out.

A few years ago the got2b products were also free after coupon so I got a bunch of different products to try and prefer them over most other brands-when I can get them FREE:-)  I purchased 20 got2b coupons for $10 on an ebay bid. If I would have watched a little more I probably could have paid $1 to $2 less, but I was excited and just wanted to get them in the mail. It took a few days to receive them so only do this if you know you’ll have plenty of time to redeem them.

I went out this week and used all but six of them. The local stores were out of the hairspray so I got a raincheck and will redeem the leftover six once the hairspray is in stock. My coupons don’t expire until May so I have plenty of time to get the items I want.

The first store I went to the cashier and the manager had no idea how to and wouldn’t adjust the second coupon to $2.99. I did have the Walgreens coupon policy with me but the assistant manager refused to follow it. The next two stores I went to had no problems adjusting the coupons. I was on the phone the next morning calling Walgreens corporate to let them know of their manager who wasn’t following policy. Corporate Walgreens apologized and told me the manager would call me to work things out. I received a call about two hours later from the store manager, he also apologized and told me she would be taught the proper coupon policy. It’s always interesting and frustrating to run into situations like these. I have to say this time I was very well pleased the way it was handled.

Here’s what I did:

1 Tylenol Precise Cream 2.5 oz or Heat Patches 3 or 4 ct $5.00
Used $5/1 Tylenol Precise coupon from 2/19 RP
14 got2b Styling Products $5.99 for both on BOGO FREE sale
Used 14 $3/1 Got2b coupons from 2/12 RP

Subtotal $0.00
Taxes $3.56
Saved $87.85

I have five boys who gel their hair every morning so gel is a very useful item in our house! I’m planning to try and water down some of the gel to see how it works. My little guys tend to waste so I’m hoping it will cut down on the wasting and hair that’s stiff as a board:-)

After I purchase all 20 got2b products I will have spent about $15.06 or 75 cents each. Not too shabby! I consider my first coupon ebay purchase a success and I plan to do it again if all the details work out as such. In fact I am considering canceling my newspaper subscription-testing out the “how many paper coupons do I really use” this next month.

This week I also spent $116.09 on a Bulk and Natural Foods order which included oats, oat groats, lentils, popcorn, sunflower seeds, yeast, molasses, and banana chips.
