After a busy Thanksgiving week of shopping it was a quiet week for me. I stopped by Costco to pick up some bread, red grapes, pickles, 5 gallons milk, cheese crackers and oranges for $50.19. I also stopped by CVS, view the CVS trip details (pictured above) here. I paid $1.29 and saved $31.24 there.

We’ve had a stomach bug at our house this week so I just got out yesterday to do some shopping.

I stopped by two different Kroger stores the first Winchester and Hacks. I am so surprised by their lack of knowledge of how to do things compared to other stores. I had grabbed the wrong kind of Honey Nut Cheerios and it took about 20 minutes for them to figure it all out even though I was telling them the whole time what needed to be done. They were real nice and all but certainly did not understand how things work. I did find a bunch of manager’s special items at this store and was glad because I was especially in need of some beef.

4 Honey Nut Cheerios $2.50 each
Used two $0.50 /1 Honey Nut Cheerios

I stopped by Aldi this week to grab a few Thanksgiving items. I typically shop at Aldi a few times a year so I try to purchase what I like to buy there to last a few months. I got Whole MIlk, Molasses, 4 packs butter, swiss cheese block, 2 bags pretzels, celery, graham crackers, wheat bread, vanilla wafers, waterproof mascara (this was 99cents, hoping it will work), roasting pan, 2 dozen eggs, cheese curls, minced garlic, 2 animal cracker boxes, 2 salsa, 3 lb. sweet potatoes, steak seasoning, 13 cream cheese. Paid $50.70 and saved a bunch.

I also tried out the Bulk and Natural Foods Fuji Aples (bushel) $27.29 and Squash Neck Pumpkins $12.04. The apples have been great! I’m planning to cook and can the squash next week so I can have some pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving!
